Name and ticker
Rename the coin when the meta moves. $COIN today, whatever holders choose tomorrow, on the same contract.
Every other coin is finished the day it launches. This one isn't. Holders can change its name, ticker, image, story and product, on DEX Screener and in its pump.fun metadata, without ever moving to a new mint.
The coin holders can rewrite.
Illustration. The mint, the holders and the chart never change. Only the coin's identity does.
A memecoin is a contract plus an identity. The contract stays put: same mint, same supply, same holders, same chart. The identity is open to the holders, and they can rewrite it as often as they vote to.
Rename the coin when the meta moves. $COIN today, whatever holders choose tomorrow, on the same contract.
Swap the icon and header everywhere the coin shows up: pump.fun, DEX Screener, wallets and trackers.
Rewrite the description, the website, the X and the Telegram. The coin's narrative belongs to whoever holds it.
Point the coin at a new app, agent or idea. If holders want it to be something else, it becomes something else.
Most of what a trader sees about a coin comes from two places. Source Coin hands both of them to the holders.
Where most traders actually meet a coin.
The record that pump.fun, wallets and explorers read.
Here's how a vamp goes today. A coin gets a community, then the narrative moves. Someone launches a copy with the new name, pulls the liquidity and the attention across, and the original holders are left with a dead chart. Every pivot means a new mint, and every new mint splits the community again.
Source Coin removes the reason to do it. When the narrative moves, holders vote and the coin moves with it, on the same mint, with the same holders and the same chart history. There's nothing to vamp, because the original can already become whatever the copy would have been.
| A vamp or relaunch | Source Coin | |
|---|---|---|
| New mint needed | Yes, every time | Never |
| Holders keep their bag | Only if they sell and rebuy | Yes, untouched |
| Liquidity | Split between old and new | Stays in one place |
| Chart history | Starts from zero | Kept |
| Who decides the pivot | Whoever launches the copy first | The holders, by vote |
| Time to pivot | A new launch, a new raid | One vote |
This is the real thing, shared with everyone on this page. Propose an edit or vote for one. When the clock hits zero, the proposal with the most votes is applied to the coin, the version goes up by one, and a new round starts.
The coin holders can rewrite.
0 votes this round
One vote per person per round. You can switch your vote until the round closes. Proposals that don't win stay on the ballot for the next round.
| Version | Changed | From → to | Votes |

This vote runs on this page's shared database while $COIN isn't live yet. At launch the same rounds move to on-chain voting weighted by $COIN balance.
Any holder proposes a change: a new name, ticker, image, description, link or product direction.
Holders vote with their balance during the voting window. One token, one vote, no delegates.
When a vote passes, the new metadata is written for the coin and the DEX Screener profile update goes in.
pump.fun, DEX Screener, wallets and explorers pick up the new identity. The version number goes up by one.
On pump.fun, a coin's metadata is locked at launch and the right to change it is given up. That's good for stopping rugs, and it's also why no pump.fun coin could ever change. Source Coin is built on Shaw's open-source version of pump.fun, which let us keep that right and hand it to the holders behind a vote, instead of giving it to a dev or throwing it away.
One contract for the coin's whole life. Every version of Source Coin trades on the same chart.
No single wallet can change the coin. Only a passed holder vote can.
There's no limit on how many times holders can rewrite it. v0 is just the first draft.
Source Coin is an independent project built on Shaw's open-source pump.fun code. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by pump.fun or DEX Screener. Memecoins are highly speculative and can go to zero. Nothing here is financial advice.
